Dream Alone

2D platformer Dream Alone is coming to Switch

And literally every other platform available.

Indie developers, WarSaw Games have announced today that Dream Alone, a dark 2D platformer with puzzle mechanics, is coming to the Switch. The Burton-esque horror is also set to release on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.

Dream Alone sees you step into the shoes of a boy named Irra after a mysterious sickness strikes the quiet village he lives in.  With his family caught up in the catastrophe our hero sets out find the mythical Lady Death, who supposedly has the ability to stop the disease. Of course, there is an assortment of deadly traps standing in the way of this ambitious goal.

Although many can be overcome with determination and precise timing Irra does have an ace up his sleeve should things start to go sideways. Albeit incredibly scare during the game the protagonist can tap into some of the dark powers that lingering inside him allowing him to overcome obstacles by switching between different realities and even creating a clone of himself.

The team recently added a new level, called The Town, which they hope will highlight the suspension between reality and the world of myths and fairy tales the game is trying to achieve. They also recently brought onboard some new voice talent, including Aleksander Czyż, best known for the voice of Draco Malfoy in the Polish dubbed versions of the Harry Potter movies.

Dream Alone will be released on Steam on March 21st, 2018, with the other platform versions coming at a later date.
