Path of Exile expansion and new league now live

Are you ready to join the War for the Atlas?

The massive new expansion for Path of Exile, War for the Atlas, and new league, Abyss, are now live!

An ancient entity known as The Elder (see above) has challenged the Shaper’s control of the Atlas of Worlds.  As The Elder grows more powerful, he will consume The Shaper’s creations to manifest his own Guardians. The stronger the consumed boss, the stronger The Elder is when you face him.

What are your goals for this league?  Personally, I always aim to hit at least tier 10 in the end-game map system, and with a complete overhaul of the map atlas system in this expansion, this should be even more exciting than usual.

The expansion adds so much to an already massive, free to play game.  For more info, check out our previous post on the War for the Atlas.  If you’re new to Path of Exile, there’s no excuse for not downloading it immediately from either the Path of Exile steam page, or the official Path of Exile site.

Now, excuse me while I rush my new character through the Abyss…
