Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody! hits Steam

Fruit-centric platformer channels Meat Boy difficulty.

New puzzle-platformer Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody has bounced its way onto Steam ahead of the weekend.

Co-developed by World Entertainment Studios and McLeod Gaming (which also runs a sizeable web games portal and community), Yeah Jam Fury started life as a Newgrounds Flash game, but has been reworked over the past several years into a full release.

Its name comes from the three titular characters, all of whom have their own special abilities that need to be combined to make your way around the fiendish levels. You switch between them in a manner not dissimilar to Trine but, in both style and level of difficulty, this is much more akin to Super Meat Boy than Frozenbyte’s gentle puzzler.

In an unusual twist, the objective of this platformer is not to be a BIG MAN and rescue the poor helpless damsel in distress, nor is it to defeat the ultimate baddie, but rather to – uh – get the mango. “Destroy everything in the way of your righteous fruit,” says the Steam page.

Find out more, and grab the game, from the Yeah Jam Fury Steam page.
