Owlboy Physical Release on PS4 and Switch

The beautiful platformer is coming to a store near you.

In collaboration with D-Pad Studio, SOEDESCO has announced that Owlboy will be getting a physical release for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on May 29th, 2018. Owlboy tells the touching story of owl misfit Otus, a feathery little fellow struggling to live the owl life. Fate strikes when his homeland is invaded by a horde of malicious sky pirates and Otus has to embark on a journey through seemingly endless skies, mysterious monster infested ruins and so much more. With the announcement of a physical release here is what Hans van Brakel, Executive Manager at SOEDESCO had to say about the Switch version of the game.

“We’ve had to keep quiet about this for some time, but now I can finally announce our first physical Switch game! Owlboy is a really great title to start off our Switch line-up with, but we’ve certainly got more coming up”.

Owlboy has received numerous amounts of praise from various outlets such as the Destructoid Editor’s Choice Award with a perfect 10/10, being featured in Time magazine’s top 15 games of the year in 2016, scoring an average Metacritic press rating of 8.8 and The Telegraph giving it 5/5, also stating that the game has “raised the bar sky high”.

No price has been confirmed as of yet for the physical release, however if you are interested in Owlboy, it is coming to the Switch eShop on February 14th for $24.99 (prices for other regions not yet available).
