Hellmut

Hellmut PC release date announced

The gun-toting dungeon crawler arrives this month!

Developer Volcanicc and its publisher Grindstone have announced that their debut title Hellmut: The Badass from Hell is coming to Windows PC on February 26th, 2018 with a Steam release to follow a day later on the 27th. In Hellmut, players unleash an infernal bullet-storm onto hordes of Demonspawn and savage bosses in a randomly generated environment. Collect their souls, coins and weapons to perform sweet “demoncide”. Alongside the announcement, here is what Peter Nagy, CEO of Grindstone had to say about the launch of the game.

“We’re only a couple of weeks away from the final launch and can’t wait for Hellmut players to engross in the hardcore diabolical action. Don’t let the humorous side of the game fool you as you’ll need to brush up your skills if you want to make it out alive in this intense roguelike experience!”

In addition to Peter’s statment, this is what Lukas Sedlak from Volcanicc also had to say about the games launch.

“We are very grateful to our community for helping us shape Hellmut into one badass dungeon crawler. We plan to continue the development even after the official launch on PC and bring the game to more platforms as well as introduce new features.”

In Hellmut players can also unlock permanent and temporary transformations, allowing them to control such ludicrous monstrosities as the Rat King, the might spell-caster Orc Fairy and many more. All of which counter different enemies with their own brutal play style. Hellmut is also set to launch for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this year but not date confirmed at time of writing.

If you are interesting in picking up the game when it releases, you can currently pre-order it on the official Hellmut GOG page for €14.99 / $14.99. It is also available on the Hellmut Steam page but no price is confirmed as of yet. Please note the Steam page is currently displaying the wrong release date at time of writing.
