Free to play brawler Battlerite entering Season 1

Stunlock Studio announced a bunch of new features four months after the game’s release.

Free to play arena brawler Battlerite launched today its Season 1 after being released into Steam in November 2017 by Swedish independent studio Stunlock. With a highly populated player base, any League of Legends (or any other MOBA) fan will be pleased to try this one out.

Battlerite puts players into a greatly exciting PvP arena brawling experience with 3D graphics that resembles League of Legends and Warcraft 3 in a lot of ways. Each user will pick a champion from an ever expanding pool (and with free rotations available each week) and engage in a fast paced, action filled experience that involves a lot of quickness, dodging and precision.

“We updated the  reward system in order to acknowledge the daily efforts of competitive players, and to make sure casual gamers don’t feel left out. That’s why the new system has multiple Sponsor paths, some fitting less frequent play styles and others having a League requirement for higher ranked players”, said Peter Ilves, Game Director at Stunlock Studios, upon the launching of Season 1.

“All the content is now connected through the reward paths that piece together new places and characters into a more cohesive and ever expanding Battlerite universe.”, he added.

The latest press release for Stunlock’s free to play game also expands on some new features added today: “The new Sponsor Reward System expands on the current daily quests by allowing players to follow specific reward paths to unlock Champions, earn in-game currency as well as obtain season-specific rewards.”

Battlerite’s Season 1 comes after more than 4 months after its original release back in November 2017, achieving a top 10 spot just a few days after its launch.

Battlerite is available free to play on Steam and offers payed versions for players wanting to have every character available as well as the game’s soundtrack and cosmetic elements.
