A Way Out and Ni no Kuni II in UK charts

A great week for two awesome indie games, outselling GTA and FIFA.

Having released only three days ago, A Way Out has already hit the number two position in the UK charts. While there are no official figures available just yet, beating Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Fifa 18 is quite an accomplishment for an indie title.

A Way Out is an entirely co-op only game, meant to be played on a couch or online with a friend. Players will learn to work together to break Leo and Vincent out of prison and navigate the story beyond.

Though the game is co-op only, it’s not necessary for you and your friend to both purchase the game, for a limited time, at least. With the Friends Pass feature, players who have purchased the full copy of the game can invite a friend to play with them for free, for a limited time.

A Way out is available for Origin on PC, PS4 and Xbox One now.

It’s not the only indie game to perform well in the charts this week. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom comes in third place this week in the UK Charts.

In Ni no Kuni II a treacherous coup has dethroned Evan Pettywhisker Tildrum, the young ruler of Ding Dong Dell. Evan – along with the help of his friends; Roland, Tani, Batu, Lofty, and many others they’ll meet along their journey – will build a new kingdom free of strife while uniting the whole world of Ni no Kuni. Across Evan’s grand adventure, players can explore a beautifully crafted world filled with exotic locations, a wide cast of characters to encounter, dangerous foes, and plenty of allies eager to help.

Ni no Kuni II also launched three days ago on Steam and PS4.
