Immortal: Unchained

Immortal: Unchained offers Souls-like shooter gameplay

Rediscover your identity in this Souls series inspired shooter.

Immortal: Unchained casts you as a prisoner, bound and chained for so long that you’ve forgotten why you were even imprisoned in the first place. Your own name and past are a mystery, but self-discovery is offered as the warden sets you free. As a living weapon, you’re not freed out of mercy or pity, instead, you’re the last hope to save the world from a horrific decay.

Immortal is best described as a hardshooter in the Action RPG genre, inspired by the Souls series. Your main goal in the game is to seek the truth about your past. NPCs throughout the world may offer you information about yourself, but can you trust what they tell you?

Konstantinos Ntaflos from publisher Sold Out Games told us at EGX Rezzed 2018: “NPCs will give you hints and clues, but it’s up to you to find out who is telling the truth. You’ll need to figure out who is lying to you by finding clues in the world.” The story in Immortal: Unchained is backed up by strong character development mechanics, allowing you to customise your character to your preferred playstyle. Everything from your perception to weapon spread can be improved and customised.

Immortal: Unchained was available for alpha testing earlier this year. Ntaflos told us: “We made a lot of changes and improvements based on player feedback of the alpha version. We’ve improved the controls and how shooting feels. The developers are fans of the Souls series and wanted to make a game for gamers, from gamers.”

There’s no release date yet for Immortal: Unchained, however you can already add it to your Steam wish list.  It’ll be available for PS4 and Xbox One too.
