Xenosis: Alien Infection spreads to consoles and PC

NerdRage Studios’s infectious sci-fi adventure is being developed for PC, Mac and Consoles.

Xenosis: Alien Infection, a retro-inspired, top-down sci-fi adventure and survival game, has surpassed its funding goal on Fig, the community publishing platform behind such games as Phoenix Point and Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire.

With this good news in the bank, NerdRage Studios has announced that the game will come to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Xenosis: Alien Infection blends retro 2D pixel art with 3D modern light, casting this sci-fi world in dynamic shadows. The game draws inspirations from games and films such as Dead Space and Event Horizon.

The game casts you as a deep space salvage hunter, who discovers the remains of the Carpathian, an apparently abandoned interstellar Starship built to terraform mineral rich planets on the edge of the known solar system that vanished over 50 years ago. Taking place on the Carpathian, you must retrieve the valuable data core. Life support systems are down, and there are traces of an unidentified toxin. As you explore, you begin to learn what happened to its crew and must prevent it from happening to you.

If this sounds like just your cup of tea, the crowdfunding campaign continues until June 21, at www.fig.co/xenosis. Interested supporters are able to pledge for a reward or invest in Fig Game Shares that pay a return based on the sales of the game when it releases next year.
