Totally Accurate Battlegrounds

Totally Accurate Battlegrounds free for limited time

Head over to the Steam page to get the new battle arena shooter for free.

Totally Accurate Battlegrounds was originally made as an April Fools’ parody of the Battle Royal genre and the game Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Jump onto an island from flying trucks, find a gun and survive and look silly while doing it, find and eliminate all your opponents to win the round!

While there’s not much original in the battle royale genre in TAB, there’s still plenty of fun to be had. Dual wield weapons (some of which can send you hurtling with their insane recoil), choose from a variety of cosmetics (that aren’t locked behind loot boxes) and enjoy the crazy physics.

Different to most first person shooters, you’re not simply a floating camera hovering above your gun, look down and you’ll notice you actually have a body, which may be disconcerting for FPS gamers. The gameplay follows a very similar pattern to Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds – you’re dropped into a map and need to collect weapons, kill your enemies and be the last player standing.

Of course, TAB has nowhere near the player base of PUBG, and thus you may have to wait some time to find a game. Refreshingly however there is a single player mode, offering you the chance to practice your aim before getting slaughtered in online matches.

You can download Totally Accurate Battlegrounds on Steam now – for free – for the first 100 hours of launch, after which it goes up to $5.
