Release date announced for Rising Dusk

Studio Ghibli inspired platform is coming to PC very soon.

Studio Stobie’s Japanese folklore inspired Rising Dusk is a platformer with a twist. In this 16-bit world you must avoid the coins to succeed. The collection of every coin has a consequence, so, be sure to befriend the assortment of ghosts and ghouls in the world hidden in the dusk, but avoid the shiny stuff.

Rising Dusk is set just as the day shines the last of its golden light over the land. As it does an eerie realm begins to form in the shadows. This spectral world is home to the Yokai. An assortment of ghosts, ghouls and demons that rise in the dusk and play through the night.

When a young girl, Tamako, spots one of these yokai she finds herself trapped in their world. If she can navigate this perilous land, the key to returning home may lie on the strange new mountain on the horizon.

Scattered throughout each level are blocks that react to the number of coins you have. Overcome these devious puzzles and you’ll earn yourself a whole bunch of prizes. But collect too many coins and you’ll find the ground giving out beneath you.

It certainly sounds intriguing. To find out more visit Rising Dusk’s on Steam or check it out on Kickstarter.
