DONTNOD Entertainment, creators behind Life is Strange and the recently released Vampyr, have today announced a new content update is coming to the game later this summer! The update will include two new game modes which add further replayability for existing players and more options for those who haven’t yet sunk their teeth into this dark adventure. As well as bringing a host of optimisations tweaks, the upcoming update will introduce a “Story” mode that de-emphasises combat and a cranked-up, more challenging Hard mode. The Story mode places a greater focus on narrative, allowing players to experience Dr. Reid’s journey with less challenging combat.

On the other end of the scale, Hard mode makes combat much more difficult. Players will receive less experience from killing enemies too, forcing them to rely even more on embracing citizens to grow in power. This update has been announced following the previous update which came out yesterday, which mainly focused of fixing a variety of common bugs and issues. Yesterdays update also included two new features which were the ability to scroll through docs with the mouse wheel when first viewing a doc and also allowing players to move the camera around using movement keys during dialogue.

No date has been set for the update as of yet, however if you are interested in checking out the game it is currently 25% off for the PlayStation Store Summer Sale. It is also available on the Vampyr Steam page as well for 25%. Both of these deals are set to end July 31!
