Dustwind ends Early Access and gets full release

This post-apocalyptic real-time tactic combat game features multiplayer and solo modes.

Z-Software and Dustwind indie studios announced today the full release of their post-apocalyptic real-time strategy and tactic combat game, ending its Early Access stage on Steam. Both multiplayer and solo modes are available for this high-octane and mayhem-filled experience.

“Dustwind is all about real-time tactical combat in a grim post-apocalyptic setting, creating uniquely balanced characters, and making your opponent´s heads explode in so many hilarious ways. Have you ever seen someone being shot with a plunger to the face or kicked off a sniper tower by an armored dog? You will in Dustwind! Happens every day…”, reads Dustwind’s latest press release.

Dustwind

Although its not clear if Dustwind has a story-mode in its single player experience, there is a backstory to this universe: the year is 2075, and the action happens after The Awakening – a catastrophic event in which an artificial intelligence called the Mainframe has gone rogue and turned it´s robotic armies against all other lifeforms on Earth. After the death of 95% of the population, diverse factions and groups rise and battle for dominance while pushing back hordes of killer robots.

Tactical positioning, real-time combat, strategic pausing, looting, aiming, driving vehicles and planning are just a few of the skills players will have to have in mind in order to prevent being destroyed by the numerous enemies each scenario includes.

And for those creative players who like to fully customize their experiences, map creation modes are included in Dustwind for a more community-driven content flow. Also, custom character creations and many unlocks are waiting for anyone interested in trying Dustwind.

Dustwin is out now on Steam for 24.99 USD, and will be on sale at 20% off ($19.99 USD) for the first week after release.
