Timespinner gets release date

Can you change your fate?

Timespinner, the work of solo-developer Bodie Lee, has got itself a release date – but yunno, time’s all relative. The story-driven platformer will be released for PC, MAC, Linux, PS4 and PS Vita on the 25th of September. Join timekeeper Lunais on her quest for revenge, bending the very fabric of time as you go.

When Lunais family is murdered before her, she is suddenly transported into a unknown world, stranded with seemingly no hope of return. But, with her power to control time, Lunais vows to take her revenge on the evil Lachiem Empire, but the course of history never did run smooth…

In Timespinner, players can expect to explore an intricate, connected world with beautifully drawn and detailed pixel art environments. Traverse between the barren present and luscious past of Lachiem, collecting elemental magic orbs and combining their power to destroy enemies with blades and spells. Befriend mysterious creatures called Familiars, such as the adorable dream dragon Meyef, and train them to aid you in battle. Test your skills and timing with intense boss battles, and you venture forth to take on the Emperor himself.

For developer Lee, this project has been a long time coming, with original ideas for the game coming to him back in High School. Inspired by successful Kickstarted indie projects at the time, Bodie set up a crowd-fund for the project in June 2014, and in a month alone successfully raised $176,667 (over 300% of his goal!) to complete Timespinner, with the help of 5,751 backers.

It’s the kind of success story we love to see. Timespinner is currently available to wishlist on Steam, and will be released for PC, MAC, Linux, PS4 and PS Vita on the 25th of September.
