Path To Mnemosyne

Hypnotic adventure Path to Mnemosyne out on Steam

Its infinite zoom will surely stir up your mind.

Veteran Spanish indie studio Devilish Games released today on PC their hypnotic, psychadelic game Path To Mnemosyne through Steam. This game has gone through a long development period with showcasing runs in festivals such as Indie Prize of Casual Connect Europe, MomoCon Indie Game Awards (USA), BIG Festival (Brazil) or A MAZE Berlin.

With the cinematic, mind-bending technique of the infinite zoom, Path to Mnemosyne casts a strong spell on anyone playing or watching it. The game has a deep and profound story to tell and does it with a minimalistic narrative technique and a curious, unique story. What we know from trailer showcases and screenshots is that the main protagonist is a girl going through a sort-of never-ending maze.

Devilish Games talks about “disturbing graphics” when describing the game features, which poses an at least interesting aspect to a video game experience. It’s hand drawn graphics and raw pencil aspect, mixed with its intriguing nature and mysterious story truly atracts the curious mind.

For Devilish Games this is an exciting release, as it celebrates 20 years of the studio’s work. “To survive for 20 years in such a changing industry as is the video games one, it’s essential to reinvent yourself from time to time and explore new paths you’ve never thought about before. With Path to Mnemosyne, we have done something very different from all our previous work and we are really looking forward to the imminent release of Steam and later versions for consoles.”, explained David Ferriz, co-founder of DevilishGames.

Path To Mnemosyne will be out today with a price tag of USD $9.99 and an initial 10% discount on launch. Console versions will be available in the future, although it’s not clear when that will be.
