The Occupation

The Occupation has been delayed until February

White Paper Games have pushed back their political thriller to make further improvements. The Occupation

White Paper Games, the devs behind Ether One, have announced today via their blog that their highly anticipated game, The Occupation will be delayed until February next year.

The game was originally scheduled to release on the 9th of this month and even made our Top 5 Most Exciting Indie Games of October list. The team wrote on their blog:

“We’ve decided to make the extremely tough decision & move the release date of The Occupation to 5th Feb 2019.

We know that right now the game is so close to being complete and ready to play, but we also know that there are some tweaks and improvements that we need to make in order for it to be something that we’re proud to release and an experience that we’re happy to hand over to you all.

We’ve spent the past 4 years living in the world of The Occupation so we see the short delay as a small sacrifice to make sure we create something that values your time.”

The Occupation is a first-person narrative thriller set in Manchester during the 80s that runs in real time. In it, you play as a journalist uncovering the truth behind a controversial act being passed by the government. The game has been praised for its original setting and complex mechanics.

The Occupation will now release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One 5 February 2018.
