Immortal Darkness: Curse Of The Pale King on Steam now

New fantasy RPG dungeon crawler is a “love letter” from developer.

Immortal Darkness: Curse of the Pale King is a dark fantasy dungeon crawler that features real-time tactical combat, twisted traps, stimulating puzzles, and a wide array of spells. It expertly blends old school dungeon crawler fun with a gripping storyline, modern visuals, smooth mechanics, and captivating atmospheric audio.

In Immortal Darkness: Curse of the Pale King you control a half-vampire who constantly needs to drink blood. This not only heals you, but also pushes you closer and closer to becoming a full vampire. It’s important to balance the two, along with careful usage of potions and holy altars. Your character’s in game abilities are all dependent on what you have equipped. You only have six ability slots, so the choices players make in their gear selection will shape their character and what they can do.

Longtime industry veterans Chris Shrigley and Damon Dubois were inspired to build a dungeon crawler that married the intimate, story-driven feel of tabletop gaming with accessible action-adventure gameplay. To achieve their goal, they hired world-class help: writer Ted Peterson of Elder Scrolls fame, renowned game artist Yigit Koroglu, expert visual effects artist Joel Benefiel, classically-trained composer Jan Glembotzki, primo voice actress Lani Minella, legendary voice actor Mark Dodson, marketing expert Erin Wildman, and community management professional Winter Mullenix. “Over the past two and a half years, we watched our work turn a simple idea into a complex fantasy world full of monsters, magic, and countless dark secrets,” said lead designer Damon DuBois. “This is the game we’ve always wanted to make!”

“Creating Immortal Darkness has been an incredible journey for the team,” said lead developer Chris Shrigley. “It really is our love letter to all the great games that inspired and entertained us over the years, and we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

Immortal Darkness: Curse of the Pale King is available on Steam now, priced at £15.49.
