Call Of Cthulhu gets launch trailer, before launch?
Indie studio Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive are clearly hyped as everyone else for Call of Cthulhu.
“Walk the path of madness”, reads the launch trailer for the new narrative driven, investigative horror game Call Of Cthulhu, developed by indie developers at Cyanide Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive. Funny thing is, the official release date is actually set for October 30th, But never mind this detail and enjoy this new preview.
Call Of Cthulhu is an adaptation of Chaosium’s pen & paper RPG going by the same name and obviously not only inspired but following H.P. Lovecraft’s literary legacy and mythos, which has seen a very welcomed revival with many games and shows recalling this American writer’s eldritch tales.
In this new trailer we get one more glimpse at the game’s story, following a private investigator called Edward Pierce as he tries to uncover a mystery on the too-quiet island of Darkwater off the coast of Boston. “Call of Cthulhu casts you in that role – a struggling alcoholic, tortured by the past, haunted by PTSD and strange visions, Pierce is a dogged investigator with a desire to find the truth. Contracted by the father of the late Sarah Hawkins to look into the mysterious fire that engulfed her mansion and killed her family, Pierce is immediately surrounded by distrustful locals and dead ends on Darkwater. Pressing on, his world begins to unravel as reality breaks down, and dreams become reality… All the while, the Great Dreamer prepares its awakening.”, reads a press release published today.
