Developer ARVORE, creators of the award-winning VR title, Pixel Ripped 1989, have announced today that they are releasing a free Halloween inspired update for the game. Celebrating the spooky holiday alongside their community, ARVORE are also adding within this update a totally new nightmare bonus level, which will be available on Oculus, Steam and soon on PlayStation VR. A discount is currently available for the game at 25% off already on the Oculus store, with the Steam version enjoying the same discount starting on November 1st.

If you are one of the few brave enough to complete the extra-creepy level will also win a special Gear Kid skin in game. Over the last two months, Pixel Ripped 1989 has already received much high praise from both fans, critics and big names in the industry alike. Namely for its innovation, design and narrative. Even Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios at Sony Interactive Entertainment had this to say about the game:
