Phantom Halls leaves Steam Early Access

The side-scrolling comedy-horror leaves Early Access after 18 months.

Phantom Halls is a side-scrolling squad-based comedy-horror title for PC. Players control a group of teens from the Occult Studies Club at a local high school, as they team up for their assignment but find themselves fighting to survive the night in a procedurally generated haunted mansion.

A group of teens from the Occult Studies Club set out on an assignment, but quickly find themselves attempting to survive a night in a haunted mansion. Prepare to face the undead terrors that stalk the phantom halls. Squad up to escape alive using whatever you can find, but remember – you can’t kill what you can’t see, so be sure to bring a flashlight.

With fast-paced, action-packed gameplay and a 3D papercraft visual motif, Phantom Halls features both single-player and local co-op, with online co-op to be added in the future. Single-player sees players take on the roles of multiple characters at once – with each character’s actions assigned to a different key. Meanwhile, drop-in/drop-out local co-op functionality allows friends to team up to fight the onslaught of spooky foes.

The full version of Phantom Halls is available on Steam now, priced at £15.49 / $19.99 / €16.79. Future updates for the game have been confirmed, containing not only online co-op but extra content and gameplay updates.
