Tactical RTS Armored Brigade released for PC

Can you dominate an extremely real battlefield? 

Finnish indie game developers at Veitikka Studios released today their new heavily tactical Cold War RTS Armored Brigade for PC. This isometrical experience lets players really take control over every single detail that goes on in the battlefield through one of many factions available and in a surprisingly realistic way.

Inspired by classics like Steel Panthers, Close Combat and Combat Mission, Armored Brigade brings the tension and realism every war game fan wants, with an almost endless list of commands with which to instruct and fully control their troops, tanks, artillery and aircrafts.

In Armored Brigade players will choose one of two factions: the Warsaw Pact or NATO with its allied nations: USA, West Germany and United Kingdom for NATO; USSR, Poland and East Germany for the Pact; Finland as neutral. After choosing which troops and assets we’ll bring to battle, a highly detailed deployment phase begins, with the possibility of placing mine fields, trip wires and much more throughout closed maps that include town buildings, forests and different elevations.

The game goes a long way in regards to detail, with features like unit morale, training level and fatigue, and even order delay based on the distance between units and its HQ. With so many things to consider before clicking the “Start” button and seeing how everything unfolds, heavy tactic games fans will be overjoyed to give Armored Bridage a try.

Even after the timer has gone live, slowing time and even pausing is possible in order to reorder, issue new commands and change the battle plan. With its top-down view of the battlefield, it really feels like we’re in the command center studying every possible tactic and sweating as we hear the explosions and bullet storms on either Central Germany, The Fulda Gap or southern Finland.
