Omega Strike coming soon to Nintendo Switch

Action-platformer smashes onto the Switch.

Pixel-art platformer Omega Strike, which has already debuted on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, will coming to Nintendo Switch on December 24th, Digerati has announced. With gameplay inspired by Metal Slug, the open-world action game gives players multiple characters to play and explore with.

Im Omega Strike, the villain takes the form of Doctor Omega and his mutant armies, who are on the path for world domination. The few brave fighters that will face him are under your control. Defeat the enemies and learn new abilities and upgrade the weapons of each of your characters.

The game’s developer, Woblyware, is a solo-developer, who specialises in working on handcraft, retro-inspired games. Considering the interconnected world of seven areas, three playable heroes and multiple bosses, Woblyware has alone achieved no mean feat.

Some other key features of the game include:

  • Players can swap heroes at any time to take advantage of their skills
  • Search for hidden treasures and purchase weapon upgrades
  • 45 different types of enemies

If you want to find out more about Omega Strike, you can find it on Steam. The Nintendo Switch port will be available on December 24, with a launch week discount 20%, if a good discount floats your boat.
