Overcooked 2

Overcooked 2 Winter DLC goes live

Wintery goodies galore in a free update

Earlier on in the week, we reported that Team 17, and co-developers Ghost Town Games, had announced that there was going to be a winter-themed DLC coming soon to Overcooked 2. Well, today is the day. As you can see from the trailer above, this free DLC is called Kevin’s Christmas Cracker. It contains plenty of fun and exciting Christmas features such as:

  • Five brand new Christmas-themed kitchens
  • Three festive recipes for mince pies, Christmas pudding, and yummy hot chocolate
  • Two new additions to the chef team – an elf and a snowman

In addition to the themed content, they have now introduced a practice mode. Here you will be able to cook as much as you like for as long as you like. Great if you want to work on building up your speed and efficiency in a particular kitchen. They have also added a new online feature which will allow two local players to play with or against two other local players online.

As well as new content added to Overcooked 2, this free DLC also contains a number of bug fixes, on both PC and console versions, and adds some new dialogue into the game for The Onion King when you enter his throne room.

The patch was released simultaneously across all versions of the game on PC, Xbox One, PS4. and Nintendo Switch today. As we are only a week or so away from the holidays, and with this new festive-themed free DLC live already, Overcooked 2 might be just the gift you are looking for!
