Hollow Knight Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong revealed with new trailer

Team Cherry announce a totally new adventure set in the Hollow Knight universe.

Team Cherry announced the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong last week with a gorgeous reveal trailer showcasing this new world and its characters.

You play as Hornet, the princess-protector of Hallownest after being captured and carted off to a vast and unfamiliar land. The intense Metroidvania action will return with 150 new enemies and a faster-paced combat style more suited to this hostile environment.

You’ll be glad to know the beautiful art-style is also returning as well as the intricate storytelling. It seems the new maps will be just as detailed as the original adding a layer of verticality with the acrobatic moves. You’ll also have some new friends to join you on your adventure as showcased in the trailer – so you won’t be totally alone in this unfamiliar alien world.

We voted Hollow Knight one of our favourite indie games of all time, so here’s hoping the sequel is just as impressive.

Hollow Knight: Silksong will be releasing on Steam, Gog, the Humble Store and Switch, but has no confirmed release date yet. But, as an added benefit, anyone who backed the first game on Kickstarter will get the sequel for free as detailed in the team’s latest blog.
