Kill It With Fire Pits You Against Evil Spiders

They might not actually be evil

I’m gonna be honest with you and tell you that I really like spiders. I think they’re kind of cute, incredibly helpful, and they deserve to live in your flat for free because they’re doing their best. Now that that’s out of the way, Kill It With Fire is a game all about the over-the-top methods that some people think are necessary to deal with our tiny eight-legged friends.

It all looks incredibly absurd and very funny as a result. It’s got a release window of July 2020, which isn’t too far off given that we’re now officially in May. What’s more exciting though, is that there’s a free demo available on Steam right this damn second. I thought I’d give it a go before actually writing about it, and I’m happy to report that it’s actually a lot of fun, or at least the demo is.

It’s also got a surprisingly large amount of RPG in it. As you hunt spiders throughout the level, you unlock new weapons and tools to use like shurikens or C4. You can then use points earned in each level to upgrade yourself and become even mightier.

There’s no real risk, or at least not in the first two levels; it’s just about trying to kill off the harmless spiders. Literally harmless, as they do nothing but hide on things and run away from you. Still though, if you’ve got a real issue with arachnids then maybe this is the best time to vent your frustrations with them, at least until July.
