Why You Should Play What The Golf?

What if instead of “fore” they yelled “yeet”?

Golf is boring and mostly a rich people thing, I’m not hating on the hobby, I’m just being honest. Thankfully What The Golf? isn’t really about golf, it’s about how you can translate single sentence stand-up routines into a video game, and it’s bloody brilliant. It’s been out on PC for a while, but has finally made it’s way over to Nintendo Switch. This is a good thing because, as you know, everything should be on Switch.

In it, rather than playing golf, you play with the universe, with physics, and with comedic timing. It’s not something that you can really talk about without ruining, but I promise you that it’s worth every iota of your attention and second of your time that it’ll take up. It’s one of those rare games that is funny, not because of the writing, but because of the perfect execution and constant twisting of its own concept.

I don’t really get gold, to be honest. I’m sure there’s fun to be had there, but it seems like the kind of thing your atypical uber-rich business person plays because the golf club costs an obscene amount of money to get into and they can sit there while they profit off of their underpaid workers. You know, that whole fantasy villain. Of course, lots of people play it who aren’t evil, but it’s just the connotation I have. Mini golf though? I’m in all the way on that.
