Baldur’s Gate 3 Launches In Two Weeks, Hopefully

Baldur’s Gate 3 hits Early Access in just two – probably eternal – weeks. I’m so intensely excited to get stuck into Larian’s next game that I’m replaying Divinity: Original Sin 2 with some friends. It’s an excellent game, and I stand by the fact that it’s probably the best RPG ever made. I’d like to think then, that it makes perfect sense that I’d also be incredibly excited about Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate as a series is one that has a lot of fans as is, let alone when we finally get a shiny new one from a studio that has proven themselves to be excellent at implementing constantly surprising and entertaining systems. Now, I’m not saying everything will always be on fire in Baldur’s Gate 3, but I’m also not going to be surprised if that ends up being the case. It helps that we’ve already seen some of the interactions that we’ll all be using to exploit the game as well. Take the shove, for example, which I can almost guarantee will end up being an integral part of speed-running the game when it comes out of Early Access, whenever that ends up being.

I’ll be interested to see just how the game plays in Early Access, I never got to try out Divinity: Original Sin 2 ahead of its full launch, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every update to the game since that point. Baldur’s Gate 3 launches into Early Access on September 30th, and I for one can’t wait to throw my shoes at people.
