Jump Into A World Of Neon Parkour In Cyber Hook

Releasing on September 24th, Cyber Hook brings us back around to first-person platforming. It’s a version of platforming that doesn’t really get much love, and that’s probably because it’s hard to get it right. We’ve all gotten annoyed with FPS platforming at some point. However, when a game is built around it and includes a cool mechanic, then it’s usually worth paying attention to. Well, Cyber Hook very much fits into that category, and it helps that it’s also really pretty to look at.

Set in a neon world, Cyber Hook has you running around, jumping, and doing all manner of things to make it from the start of the level to the end. One of the things that really makes it stand out is the fact that it boasts about the player being able to break the level design, and that makes it highly likely that it’ll be a hit with speedrunners. Also, there are enemies to take out as you go, so there’ll no doubt be plenty of opportunities to look like a badass as you go through the levels.

You can actually try it out before you buy it too thanks to a demo. Demos are great, and I can’t help but feel like the death of them has caused a drop in some of the stranger and more obscure ideas in gaming. If you can try out these games before you actually buy them then you can find out if you’ll like it or not. It just seems like a great idea.
