Demon Turf Could Be The Next Big 3D Platformer

Platformer games often serve as an intro into gaming. Lots of us grew up playing them, and while the way they look is forever in flux, the simple joy they bring is a constant. One of the most exciting platformers I’ve seen in a while is Demon Turf. The first thing you’ll notice about Demon Turf is the stunning art style, which has beautiful 3D worlds populated by adorable 2D sprites. It’s a really nice fusion of the two styles, and it makes for a game which is very easy to get lost in.

You’ll have to navigate this world by jumping, spinning, and using whatever else you can pick up on your journey to try and become the Demon Queen. It’s a cool enough concept that allows for a lot of different enemy types and level designs. You can also find side quests in the hub towns around the world or take on special challenges as you find them. It just seems like a really open-ended take on the 3D platformer, and it’s the kind of game that definitely deserves to be talked about. This is especially the case as it comes from the people behind Slime-san, which is an excellent (if somewhat brutal) platformer.

If all of this sounds good to you, then you’ll be happy to know that you can try it out now thanks to Demon Turf: Trials. This is good news as there’s no firm release date for the full game yet, but at least you can get stuck in and try and master the game before it fully releases.
