Please No Man’s Sky, Stop
Look, I hate having to have these conversations, but we need to talk. I know it’s cliche, but it’s really not you, it’s me. I can’t keep coming back to No Man’s Sky. Every time a new update comes along I jump back into the game, try and remember what the controls are (which inevitably ends with me blowing something important up or annoying a Sentinel), run around in my mech suit (so fancy) and realise I probably don’t have enough time for No Man’s Sky.
This time around is going to be the hardest one of all for me. “Our tiny team is excited to let you know that our first free update for 2021, the COMPANIONS update, is available to download from today, free for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Win 10, Steam, Steam VR, GoG, Xbox One and XBoxS/X players!” Yup, we’ve now got pets in No Man’s Sky, and I can’t deal with this at all. They’re so damn cute, or utterly hideous, rarely anything in-between, but I absolutely want an army of creatures.
I know I don’t have the time necessary to invest in No Man’s Sky. It’s the kind of game that is at its best if you can properly devote yourself to it, and I just can’t manage that at the moment. For those of you out there who are into No Man’s Sky, please adopt at least three extra creatures on my behalf. Make a massive reservation for your awesome pets. Live out my best life for me. In the meantime, I guess I’ll try and fit it in anyway.
