Haven Park Could Be The Relaxing Time You Need

We all like to try and relax when playing games. Well, that’s not strictly true when you’re thinking about games like Soulslikes or Metroidvanias, but even then, we all enjoy relaxing in some way by playing them. It doesn’t always have to be a chilled out game, but the option to play one that is nice and calm is definitely a bonus for a lot of people. After all, not having to fight everything to the death can actually be a good way to wind down after a long day of (insert whatever your job is here).

Well, Haven Park is exactly that kind of game. You take control of a little character called Flint, who has to try and take over his grandma’s park because they’re getting on a bit and struggling to do the job they used to love. It means that you’ll need to not only try and keep your grandma happy, but also look after the campers who come along to visit you.

Your aim in Haven Park is to basically spread joy. It’s a really nice objective that means that you’re always going to be looking after people. Some people are going to find that off-putting, but for others, this could well be the game you’ve been waiting for. The adorable art style feels akin to a strange Saturday morning cartoon, and it fits a similar kind of timeframe too, as it only takes a few hours to complete. That’s not a win for everyone, but a fair few of us like to just sit down and get through a game in one sitting.
