Gunfire Reborn Is Out Today, So Go Get It

I’ve written about Gunfire Reborn a lot since it entered Early Access last year. Having seen a glimpse of it online and had my interests piqued, I was overwhelmingly happy to find out that it was not only as good as it looked, but actually substantially better. The weapons feel and look incredible, with some of the best reloading animations I’ve ever seen here, and everything feels fluid and responsive.

It helps that it’s also one of the best examples of the Early Access models I’ve seen in a long time, which is saying something. It feels like nearly every month since it was released it’s been updated with some variety of new weapons, new scrolls, new characters, and alternate bosses. It is, quite frankly, one of the best co-op roguelikes I’ve ever played, and one of the few games that never gets uninstalled when I’m freeing up space on my PC.

Well, I’m very happy to say that the 1.0 version of the game is out today. Therefore, I am once again asking you to go and play it, because it’s sure to scratch and itch you may not have even realised you had. The update brings another new character, a fourth full level (which is made up of multiple levels) and a true final boss among other bits. It’s also on sale as part of the launch celebration, so now is basically the best time to get involved with this incredible first-person shooter. Now go on, get it.
