Yume Nikki Dream Diary gets prologue trailer

Cult hit Yume Nikki Dream Diary re-imagination shown.

The trailer for Yume Nikki: Dream Diary is described as a collection of images edited and processed from the opening sequence of the game.

Dream Diary is a re-imagined and modernised release of the classic RPG maker game released in 2004, using enhanced elements of modern indie games.

Yume Nikki was recently released on Steam and is free to play, with well over a thousand positive reviews in just over a month. If you’re unfamiliar with Yume Nikki, the gameplay involves a very socially reclusive character exploring a bizarre dream world. There is no end game objective, but the exploration through the both wonderful and creepy scenery and the accompanying soundtrack produce an incredibly atmospheric experience.

Yume Nikki Dream Diary is coming to Steam on the 23rd of February and will be priced at ¥1,980 / $19.99 (about £13-14).
