Monster Slayers announced for consoles

The deck building roguelike adventure is coming in Spring.

Monster Slayers is a rogue-like deck-building RPG adventure with an innovative card-based battle system that lets you customize a deck to suit your play style. Create a hero to join the Monster Slayers Guild and choose your path through the perilous Northern Valley as you follow your quest to defeat the legendary Harbinger and become a true Monster Slayer.

As is typical of the roguelike genre, every playthrough is different: levels, enemy encounters and loot are randomly generated. There are 12 different character classes to choose from: Rogue, Ranger, Knight, Barbarian, Cleric, Wizard, Assassin, Beastmaster, Apothecary, Brute, Monk, and Necromancer.

You’ll need to equip your hero with stat-boosting loot to improve the chances of victory, and if you do manage to beat the game, you’ll unlock a much harder difficulty, the legendary mode. You can also recruit companions to join you on your quest and make use of their special abilities to give yourself an edge.

Monster Slayers originally launched on Steam in March last year where it is rated very positively. There is currently a 50% discount on the Steam version until the 19th of March. This spring, Monster Slayers will launch on PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One.
