Agony’s launch trailer is insane

If you’ve ever wondered what hell looks like then look no further.

As we discussed yesterday, Agony has run into some censorship issues recently, although you wouldn’t believe it seeing the new launch trailer.

Madmind Studio have unveiled the final teaser for their highly anticipated first-person horror game and, well, it’s pretty disturbing to say the least. To put that statement into context, there’s a point in the trailer where what’s assumed to be a demon football kicks what’s looks like a baby, but is more likely some kind of demon baby, into a gaping maw of teeth like it’s just scored a goal. That’s not all though.

Granted, it opens in quite a timid fashion, with a scantly glad demon person welcoming you to hell, but things quite rapidly spiral out of control from there. Babies get thrown at you, creatures get their eyes gouged out and naked demons fornicate covered in blood and other unknown bodily fluids all around you. Even, at one point, a creature who might just be hell’s janitor scrubs the floor with what looks like the remaining upper torso of a corpse. Probably not the best thing to use, maybe try a mop next time.

All in all it’s pretty gory stuff and clearly not for the faint of heart. Watch out for our review in the coming days to see what we really think of Agony after having some time with it.
