MidBoss

MidBoss adds periodic events, first celebrating LGBT

The well received rogulike gets first periodic event, celebrating LGBT pride month.

MidBoss is a turn-based, strategic roguelike about a lowly imp’s quest to become the final boss of a dungeon. In its quest it must defeat other monsters and possess them, which allows players to learn new abilities. Abilities from various forms can be mixed and matched and creates a dynamic play style. The game now has periodic events, the first of which is a celebration of LGBT Pride Month, with the event starting June 28, the anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

Emma ‘Eniko’ Maassen, founder, Kitsune Games spoke of the event:

“Over half of the people who work at or with Kitsune Games are members of the LGBT community in some way, so as a studio we’re big LGBT supporters. This event allows us to both show that aspect of the studio and show solidarity with the LGBT community, but it also lays the groundwork for future events.”

Released in May 2017, MidBoss recently celebrated its first anniversary with a new patch containing a crisp new pixel art font and a new room type. The addition of time-limited events shows Kitsune Games’ commitment to MidBoss and its fans going forward. It is on sale in the 2018 Steam Summer Sale at 50% off.

MidBoss is available on Steam now, priced at £5.49.
