ZIQ crosses the finish line to PC and Mac

Run fast!

ZIQ, the frenetic sci-fi arcade runner from Midnight Sea and 3D Realms, has zoomed its way onto PC and Mac.

In ZIQ, the player must survive an insidious AI’s endless trials as a prototype Z series IQ nanite (ZIQ) by carefully navigating deadly obstacles. Swap between blue and orange magnetic polarities at the touch of a button to skirt past deadly, color-coordinated pitfalls. Push your ZIQ to the limit and challenge the global leaderboard across seven themed procedurally-generated levels. Tune out the AI’s relentless taunting with a pulse-pounding dark synth soundtrack while helping ZIQ become the best nanite the universe has ever seen.
You will have to drive to perfection through continuous, dangerous tests designed to challenge even the most advanced neural network. More than 25 different obstacles dot his path, creating hundreds of possible configurations through seven themed procedurally-generated stages. Quick reflexes and ZIQ’s ability to switch between two polarities helps him bypass traps specifically designed for his downfall. Swap polarities at just the right moment to avoid destruction by way of threats including deadly pools of acid and tricky pop-up walls.

Josh Ryan, co-founder of Midnight Sea said, “In addition to making an addictive runner that was easy to pick up and play, we wanted to create a world that justified the gameplay. We think players will really enjoy ZIQ’s tenacity and Swarm’s propensity for put-downs.” Racing and narrative, what a combo.

ZIQ is available now on Steam for both PC and Mac for $9.99/£7.99.
