The Subject begins its Kickstarter campaign

The sci-fi horror you just might want to pledge to.

Independent developer DarkStone Digital has announced that it has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the new sci-fi horror game “The Subject”, with the trailer above giving us a good look at what might be instore.

The Subject tells the story of a prisoner. In this world, prisoners lose all rights when taken into custody and are instantly flagged as property, bought and sold throughout the galaxy for any use legal or otherwise without consequence to the buyer. You have been purchased. You have been acquired in the most recent bulk order of prisoners for BioMass Labs and are being shuttled off for study at the Kohate testing facilities. No information is known about the details of the study.

You are the next subject in-line for testing, forced into a maze-like complex that you will have to navigate to find the various puzzle rooms that need to be solved. Learn all the twists and turns of the maze well. But no matter how well you do, or how well you think you know the maze. Never feel too comfortable… you are not alone. Something is hunting you. Be careful, run, hide, and survive the thread wandering in the dark. There’s more to this test than it seems.

The Kickstarter campaign will run until September 5, 2018 DarkStone is aiming for a $6,000 goal for the campaign to help with purchasing equipment and licenses to aid in production. Check out The Subject’s kickstarter page for more information.
