Meeple Station launches free demo

Co-operative space station simulator running Kickstarter campaign.

Meeple Station is a cooperative Space station Simulation game. Strongly inspired by Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld (with a hint of Space Station 13). Where the complexity of a simulation game blends with the friendly and satisfying nature of a Real-Time-Strategy game.

Meeple are simple creatures. They’re not human, nor are they incredibly intelligent. They’re a race of space fairing creatures who enjoy industry, work, and exploration. But they need a lot of guidance, your guidance, in fact. You’ll need to build your own bases, and every station that you come across is different. You and your companions have the ability to build and shape it in any way you wish. You’ll also need to defend it against the dangers of space, such as pirates, marauders and aliens.

Whilst simultaneously building and defending, you can also work towards becoming a centre for trade and commerce, increasing your status, profits and trading rare alien artifacts. You can also send your Meeple on explorations to bring back more resources and new life forms, or to collect information on nearby solar systems.

Meeple Station’s Kickstarter campaign is currently live. So far 188 backers have pledged over £2,400 towards the campaign goal of £22,000. Backers pledging a minimum of about £9 will receive a digital copy of the game on release, which is expected for December 2018. You can now also play a demo of Meeple Station on itch.io.
