Damsel released for PC and Mac
A vampire slaying, comic book branded platformer with 50 action packed levels.
Action platformer, comic book styled game Damsel, developed by indie game developers at Australian based Screwtape Studios has been released today for PC, Linux and Mac OS through Steam. Its starting price tag es of $19.99 USD / €16.79 / £15.49, with a 25% discount through launch week.
Damsel consists of 50 different levels that tell the story of Special Agent Damsel, as she investigates the Red Mist Beverage Corporation.” The word on the street is that Red Mist is creating a “secret menu” drink containing real human blood.”, reads the game’s description.
Damsel is a reminder of the greatness of action platformers like Mega Man, Metroid and Castlevania. Even more so with its comic book art style, telling its story through sketch art, providing an even more nostalgic sensation as players dive into its shooting, jumping and clearing.

“Damsel has been a labour of love and we are excited to finally be releasing the game“, said Anthony Wood, Designer and Programmer, Screwtape Studios. “We hope we have not only created a fun new take on the indie platform genre, but also created a game that pays respect to the PC games that we grew up playing like Commander Keen, and Doom.”
Damsel supports English at release with additional language options of German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese coming shortly afterwards.
So if you’re ready to slay some vampires through Damsel’s 50 levels and enjoy some cool looking drawing style, you can head over to Steam right now and pick it up for $19.99 USD / €16.79 / £15.49.
