Axiom Verge is currently for free on Epic’s Store

Epic’s store has made the news, again.

Epic Games keeps bombing news sections all around the gaming community. Whether for its exclusive agreements or time-limited freebies, Epic store’s launch has been getting publicity for many reasons. In this case they’ve arranged for the critically acclaimed action platformer Axiom Verge to be free for a limited time.

So if you’ve been adding Axiom Verge to your various wish lists without any luck, now’s your chance to snatch it for free from February 7th to the 21st on Epic Games Store. And if you’ve never heard of it and you like the platformer genre, then this is your chance to experience a seriously good game.

Axiom Verge

Axiom Verge was developed by Thomas Happ Games LLC and currently holds an 80 score on Metacritic. After and experiment gone wrong, a scientist wakes up in a strange alien world filled with strange creatures and dangerous beings. Not knowing anything about it, he embarks on an adventure through this labyrinthine world in order to discover what’s going on and why is he here.

The game plays with our minds by hinting at the possibility of all being a simulation, a dream and many other imaginary or synthetic creations. Is all of this inside the scientist’s head? What is real and what’s fake? All of these concepts are mixed in in Axiom Verge together with high-adrenaline action and a wide-set of weapons and abilities to be used and unlocked as progress is made.

Axiom Verge was nominated as Best Independent Game in 2015’s The Game Awards. It will be free until February 17th through the Epic Games Store.
