Project Winter is now live on Steam Early Access

After a very successful open beta, the game is now live

Earlier on in the month, developers Other Ocean Group decided to open the doors of their highly anticipated winter survival game Project Winter in an open beta weekend. It was a resounding success! So, today they were pleased to announce that Project Winter has now gone live on Steam Early Access.

The beta weekend proved to not only be a great server test but it was also fantastic at getting feedback from fans prior to today’s release. Ryan Hale, Studio Head at Other Ocean had this to say:

“We were thrilled to see the amount of excitement for the game over our beta period. Players were helpful, cunning, and even downright brutal at times. Now we can’t wait to get the game out there to see what strategies players come up with next!”

Project Winter is a multiplayer survival game where not only do you have to survive a harsh winter but you also have to overcome the threat lurking within your party. At the beginning of each game, you are randomly assigned as a survivor or a traitor. While the survivors are gathering up resources, venturing out into the deep winter to find a way to get rescued, the traitors in your midst will be doing everything within their power to sabotage any rescue attempt.

Communication is the key to Project Winter. Whether you are discussing who should go out and gather supplies or if you are attempting set the survivors against each other, you won’t get far without it. The game makes use of voice chat, texting and even emotes to give everyone a method of communication they feel comfortable using.
