Face insane crustacean based combat in Fight Crab

As crab-based video games threaten to become their own sub-genre thanks to some extraordinary gifs on Twitter, Fight Crab enters Early Access on itch.io. This bizarre 3D action fighting game pits giant crabs against each other in setting that would make Godzilla jealous in brutal fights to the death.

These mutant crabs wield some of their two-legged land walking cousins favourite weapons of war including swords, hammers, chainsaws and even rockets. There are at least some rules in this crazy world of crab combat though. Get flipped onto your back and you are done, destined to become a giant crab cake for god knows who.The latest trailer has somewhat of an anime-styled theme to it with crabs clashing in bright sparks of fury. It looks completely wild, with the physics-based attacks sending claws and shells flying in every direction.

“These crabs were granted ultimate strength and intelligence from the generous gods. Using their newfound strength and wit, they armed themselves with human weapons of the finest calibur, and took control of the lands.”

The Early Access release packs 19 species of crab to duel with and 41 deadly weapons with which to destroy your foe. There also seems to be a wide range of playable modes from simple one on one combat to battle royal style brawls.
