Knights And Bikes brings the Goonies magic to hand-drawn adventure tale

Riding your bike, but punk.

We’ve known about Knights and Bikes for a little while now, with the title originally teased three long years ago. Its unique hand-painted illustrative art-style caught our attention those years ago, and now it’s finally ready for full release. Get on yer bike!

Knights and Bikes combines the childhood freedom of movement that came with riding your bike around town in the summer, with a Famous Five/The Goonies-style action adventure plot. It’s playable by 1 or 2 players, as you take on the role of Nessa and Demelza, two imaginative and punk-rock girls on the lookout for adventure. To be more specific, and this is where it really gets a bit Goonies, the pair are searching for legendary lost treasure. With the help of their pet-goose and an undead knight, they might just find it. Not a sentence you write everyday.

Armed with just frisbees, water-balloons, video game controllers and a boom-box musical accompaniment, the small bicycle crew have everything they need to wade through their enemies. Their fictional British island setting might be small, but there is plenty of stuff to collect to make bike upgrades and fill their little pockets.

It’s a coming of age tale that looks to have some real heart, and with an art style like that we’re absolutely going to give it a spin. To find out more about the title, which has released today, check out their Steam page.
