Unravel the Curse of Anabelle in new free horror demo

Children are scary.

The scariest Thief game was by far the one that took place in the abandoned orphanage (the last level of Thief: Deadly Shadows) because children are scary! Facts! In the first-person, narrative adventure game, Curse of Anabelle, the horror of children really is being used to full affect and the game is in need of your Kickstarting help right now.

This story, which sports some quite impressive Resident Evil looking graphics, centres around the death of 9-year-old Anabelle. Her death in the Ramsey Mansion is a total mystery. Stranger still, following the days after the event, Emily, her older sister, realises she can still communicate with Anabelle via lucid dreams. These dreams grow more intense as the game progresses, growing more urgent as Emily searches for the truth behind her sister’s death. The story is also supposedly based on real-world legends and myths, which we all know helps make a horror that little bit spookier.

The Turkish team at Rocwise Entertainment are in their last week of crowdfunding for the game, with Studio Director Engin Yüksel stating: “We’ve created an incredible demo that’s available on Steam, to give potential backers an idea of how our game looks, feels and scares in our dark and surreal horror game. With your help, we can add the final layers of polish to Curse of Anabelle.”

You can take a look at the Curse of Anabelle on Steam and it’s ongoing Kickstarter campaign now.
