Urban Tale brings Stardew Valley into the real world

Get a dose of reality

Who needs to live the life of a cute farmer in a small town? What we really need is to experience urban life; a life of work, bureaucracy and meeting so many people that your head hurts. A city life simulator. Yes. Perfect. Wholesomeness is for dweebs.

Urban Tale takes us to the big pixelated city on the journey that is real life. It’s the Sims meets Stardew Valley, but less cute. Describing itself as a “vibrant and unique RPG that will allow you to fulfil your dreams”, Urban Tale lets your pixelated avatar loose on the world. Similarly to the Sims, you start this life from scratch and must go about finding a job, meeting people and achieving your goals over the course of the game. The aim is to survive and succeed.

Set in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, you experience the city as time goes on and the seasons change, living out the life you always wanted, or one entirely different from your own. You can choose your career path, whether you’re a manager or an employee and the industry you go into. So you get a bit more freedom than real life at least.

The game is currently in Steam Early Access with the aim of releasing the full game in 2020. In the Early Access version you can experience two city zones, three jobs to try out and five playable characters. If you fancy running real life through a pixelated simulation, you can pick up Urban Tale in Steam Early Access right now.
