I don’t feel so good
Good news for everyone looking forward to piloting an anti-grav cycle and summoning minions to do their bidding while shooting at enemies from on high, Disintegration finally has a release date. That might be a little too specific for most people’s tastes, but the game looks like a lot of fun, and playing it in the beta earlier in the year, I know I had fun with it. The release date is June 16th, which is a little over a month away, and it’s coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
It’s a strange title, and the combination of FPS action and more tactical strategy elements could make for a pretty entertaining game. It’s also got evil clowns, so there’s that. If you’ve not heard of Disintegration at all, then it’s set in the future (one of the bad ones), and your job is to try and fight back against evil forces known as the Black Shuck and the Rayonne.
It comes from a new indie team that includes Marcus Lehto, one of the co-creators of Halo. This is the studios first game, and it certainly looks like a step above a lot of indie efforts in terms of looks. Of course, looks aren’t everything, but it’s still hard not to get sucked into the gorgeous sci-fi art style while watching the trailers. Disintegration has both a single-player campaign as well as three different multiplayer modes, and more to come after launch. Let’s just hope it’s as good as it looks.
