Giant Robot Battles Are Returning In Override 2

Sometimes you just need to fight using gigantic robots inside of a city and level the entire city in the process. That mood is generally known as the 2020 mood, and it’s one that, funnily enough, we can all relate too. Well, the good news is that we’re getting a follow-up to one of the most entertaining arena battlers of the last couple of years, and that can only be good for fans of gigantic robots.

Set seven years after the original game, these giant mechs no longer fight to protect the planet but for our entertainment. You play as a new pilot looking to make it big and help take your club to the top, and that means even more robot-punching, and that can only ever be a good thing. Ultimately, the story probably isn’t going to change the world, but the original game was a lot of fun, and the prospect of a sequel, let alone one coming this year, is definitely worth being excited about.

There will be a slew of local and online co-op and competitive modes, and it’s sure to be a big hit with families that involve anyone obsessed with big mechanical things. Which, let’s be honest, probably includes every family and every household. There’s no word on a specific release date, just that it’s coming out December of this year. It’s coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. That’s nearly every platform, so make sure to play it if it’s good.
