Next Month We Can All Escape With The Survivalists

Escapism is getting pretty strange nowadays. It used to be that escapism was playing a high-fantasy game or one where people under the age of 40 could afford a house without having wealthy parents. This year though, escapism is just being able to leave the house without worrying too much. Just the idea of being outside is good enough at this point, and The Survivalists has that aspect covered completely.

Set in the same universe as The Escapists, The Survivalists will have you exploring an island that seems pretty hellbent on making sure you don’t get to live for very long. The good news though, is that you don’t have to try and do everything on your own. Alongside the army of monkeys you can train to help you make the most of your new life, you’ll also be able to play with up to three other people, meaning this could well be the next big co-op game in your life.

You’re going to have to be resourceful too. Everything on the island might be trying to kill you, but you can also use nearly everything you find to help make you stronger. Maybe you’ll craft a new base, or some new equipment, or maybe you’ll need to go adventuring and check out some temples to see if they contain anything that might help. The Survivalists looks like an immense amount of fun, and better yet, it’s even got a release date now. You and your friends can brave the great outdoors when it releases on October 9th on basically every platform.
