There’s a couple of big cyberpunk games ahead of us, and while you may not realise it, a lot of them might have gone unnoticed by most people. The good news is that this site is here to constantly poke the beehive that is gaming, and we’re ready to keep other cyberpunk games in the limelight too. This time we’re talking about a game called Ghostrunner, which is a first-person slasher game that has you fighting your way up a gigantic tower to kill off an evil Keymaster.
You play as someone who is incredibly good with a blade, and you get to jump, wall-run, and kill your way through the tower in a bid to take down Maya the Keymaster, who has the last remnants of humanity under their rather evil thumbs. It’s all a good reason to show off just how impressive you are, and you’ll get to use absurd reflexes, over-the-top sword skills, and whatever else you can find along the way to try and save humanity.
All of this sounds great, but if you’ve watched the trailer, then you’ll know that it also looks absolutely incredible. Now, graphics aren’t everything, but it’s hard to deny the effect that a pretty game can have on us. It doesn’t guarantee quality, but it just so happens that Ghostrunner has already won a few awards, so that might help its case. There’s no release date yet, but apparently there will be big news at PAX Online on September 15th, so that’s probably worth paying attention to.
